San Diego PGA Tour, Farmers Insurance Open, Torrey Pines Golf Course

The Farmers Insurance Open is San Diego’s PGA TOUR golf tournament, played at Torrey Pines Golf Course. The Century Club of San Diego and Farmers Insurance Group have joined forces to present San Diego’s annual PGA Tour professional tournament at Torrey Pines.

Torrey Pines Golf Course is a 36-hole municipal public golf facility owned by the city of San Diego, California. It sits on the coastal cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean in the community of La Jolla, just south of Torrey Pines State Reserve.

The Farmers Insurance Open started as the San Diego Open in 1952, the tournament moved to Torrey Pines as the Andy Williams San Diego Open in 1968. In 2014, the Farmers Insurance Open was generated over $2.8 million for local area charities, thanks to the help of more than 1,000 tireless volunteers. Consider joining the team as a volunteer today – it is through the hard work of committed volunteers that the Tournament is such a success!
